About Animal K.
Animal K. didn’t start in a boardroom. It started with a silver Labrador named Julius, a lifetime of questions, and a deep knowing that animals deserve better.
Our founder, Simmi, grew up surrounded by the healing power of plants. Her mother—a gifted alternative therapist—taught her early that nature provides what we need, if we’re willing to listen. But when Simmi had children and animals of her own, that wisdom became hard to access. She watched her family’s health decline under the weight of chemical band-aids that never addressed the root cause. She kept asking: If food is our medicine, why do we turn to chemicals when we need to heal?
Years later, when her own health pushed her to search for answers, Simmi returned to a more natural path—leaning into the wisdom of herbs to heal. It transformed her family’s wellness. And then she saw what it did for animals.
Julius, her loyal companion, had struggled with anxiety and stress. The moment those herbal blends touched his skin, something shifted. He could breathe. He could calm. He could just be.
That’s when Simmi knew: if this could change Julius’s life, it needed to reach every animal struggling in a world full of noise, toxins, and stress they never asked for. Animal K was founded to change that.
Animal K is pioneering a new chapter in herbal science for pets with the first topical herbal science of its kind. Our formulations are crafted from time-tested herbs trusted for thousands of years and refined through more than 30 years of clinical herbal experience. By introducing a new way to deliver herbal support through the skin, we move beyond symptom-masking solutions and toward compassionate, root-cause care. We honor animals, plants, and the planet with remedies that are as intentional as they are effective.
The Ancient Knowledge of Herbs
Nature is magnificent. In his Tree Medicine class, Lakota Medicine Man Paul Red Elk teaches that herbs grow in abundance when nature knows there is a common dis-eased state. Each herb has its own spectacular property. When combined with other compatible herbs, those properties create conditions to rejuvenate and restore wellness.
Our specific formulas help restructure your pet’s healing capacity with our revolutionary and unique combination based on the ancient knowledge of herbs. The formulas have been created keeping the current state of ailments in mind, that are evident but have not been addressed. Giving Thanks is a project very near and dear to the founder, where Julius is giving thanks to Parents and Caregivers for taking care of his brothers and sisters. Giving Thanks initiates in December 2025.

An architect by training, she brings structure and aesthetics to whatever she does. Growing up with a mother who is a healer and doctor in Alternative, Mumbai, India, her interest in the Science of Herbs took her far to study the intricacies of this amazing practice of healing with what nature has to offer and in sync with the natural world. She found an amazing teacher and healer with unexplained powers under whose guidance Simmi found what she had been searching for long. With love of animals, she decided to bring her teachers healing powers developed by the teacher in a unique and never-before form, to the world.

Dr. Paul Red Elk
Lakota Medicine Man & Endorser
Paul Red Elk is a Traditional Lakota Medicine Man, Clinical Medicine man. Trained in Lakota, Dakota, Anishinaabe, Ho- Chunk Nation medicine, and Western Herbalism. He was a college professor in herbal studies for 12 years. He currently lectures on tribal medicine and teaches private classes.
